2009 FSWP Communications Tools

Program resources
  • The fswp.ca website describes the program and its four program areas, with links to notices about funding dates and report templates and links to project information.
  • The FSWP annual report summarizes the program and program areas, as shown on fswp.ca. The first issue was distributed last summer and the second issue will be available this summer.
  • The FSWP backgrounder can be included with media releases and gives language and basic background information to describe the program.
  • FSWP logos can be used on signs, websites and other places for funding acknowledgement.
  • Email distribution lists provide announcements to the ongoing network of the Fraser Assembly (see archives or subscribe) and to government officials and media (see archives or subscribe).

Project information

Public engagement
  • The “Think Salmon” concept and brand can be used by anyone to support a range of messages and public awareness efforts.  The logo may be used freely, and logo’d items such as tee shirts are available for prizes and events.
  • thinksalmon.com posts content for the motivated newcomer to think, learn and act on behalf of salmon and watersheds: story sharing, Q&A, interesting facts, what other people are doing, actions to take, stories of action and events.
  • Proponent events, signs and media outreach raise public awareness of our issues and the program. Let us know how we can help these activities.
