Project information
- The project section of ThinkSalmon.com is a searchable public database of projects. Initial pages based on project proposals have been posted for 2010, and proponents may edit their pages. Your Contract checklist (sent with Service agreement) gives the Username and password to log in to ThinkSalmon. Detailed instructions, including how to add pictures to your project page, are available.
- The Aquatic Partnership (TAP), a new initiative, offers an online interactive space that connects people with information and tools to promote healthy watersheds in British Columbia. TAP members can form and join working groups, engage in online discussion and share all sorts of information.
Public engagement
Events, signs and media outreach raise public awareness of our issues and the program. Let us know how we can help these activities.
- The “Think Salmon” concept and brand can be used by anyone to support a range of messages and public awareness efforts. The logo (download link at the bottom of this page) may be used freely, and logo’d items such as tee shirts are available for prizes and events.
- ThinkSalmon.com posts content about FSWP funded activity for the motivated newcomer to think, learn and act on behalf of salmon and watersheds: short articles, actions to take, story sharing and Q&A. Contact Megan Moser to submit a short article or photograph, or ask us to write one.
- To each grant recipient, FSWP offers a supplemental public relations grant (up to $500, and in some cases up to $1000) because we see a win-win opportunity to both enhance your project and acknowledge FSWP funding.
- Small public relations grants are also available for other groups’ activities that raise awareness about salmon and watershed issues in the Fraser basin.
