Project Summary

The Salmon River Watershed Roundtable (SRWR) commenced a habitat rehabilitation project along the Salmon River to address key areas outlined as priorities in the 2004 Salmon River Watershed Recovery Plan.

The project involved stream bank restoration at priority sites along the Salmon River, which totaled 453km in length. This project saw the improvement of rearing and spawning habitat for coho and other salmonids, improved accessibility to returning spawners, and improved communication and partnerships regarding salmon recovery priorities and practices.
