Project Summary

DFO will add a condition to it’s scientific licencing system, SLIC. DFO Kamloops office will pilot use of this new condition in 2008. MoE will manage data submitted using their service. MoE will provide DFO with a summary of data submitted by DFO licence number when required. DFO will track types of data submitted and evaluate the value of the data submitted and document any issues. If value is proven, DFO will work with all offices to use the new condition, with the data submission requirement, for all freshwater licences. MoE and DFO will continue to work together to ensure their systems and business processes meet fish habitat information management requirements of all users.
