Project Summary

Project Rivershed Brunette is a community-driven project which builds community capacity, educates the public and encourages conservation and stewardship of natural resources, especially salmon and water. It encourages individuals and communities to reduce their ecological footprint (e.g. energy & water use) in riversheds to sustainable levels.

Over the next ten years, the RSBC aim to bring Project Rivershed to the people, communities in the 34 riversheds of the Fraser River Basin. The goals of Project Rivershed are: to protect and conserve rivershed ecosystems in the Fraser River Basin; and to encourage individuals and communities to reduce their ecological footprint within the Fraser River Basin’s riversheds. Using Visible Strategies’ unique organizing tool See-It (Social Environmental Economic Integration Toolkit), the RSBC is working with the Brunette Rivershed community to develop a communications & action plan.
Actions can be viewed on the main page of the RSBC website at http://www.rivershed.com.
