Project Summary

A new version of the Kamloops - South Thompson Sustainable Community Atlas is under development by Fraser Basin Council.

The enhancement project will improve the functionality of the online atlas including the development of the Kamloops - South Thompson Species and Habitat Atlas and other sub-atlases. This project is to enhance the Kamloops-South Thompson Species and Habitat Atlas (a publicly available internet atlas at http://www.kamloopsatlas.com ) by including recently developed salmon and watershed GIS information from atlas partners.

This project will benefit resource managers, stakeholders and First Nations seeking information on salmon habitat, as it will provide access to spatial information to support decision-making by local governments, First Nations governments, developers, non-governmental organizations, federal and provincial agencies, and the general public. Furthermore, this project will make additional information available as well as extend the geographic boundary of the species and habitat information to include Adams Lake, Shuswap and Mara Lakes.
