Location: Fraser Valley, Chilliwack River

Project Summary

Salmon carcasses provide essential nutrients to river systems. The loss of the essential nutrients in the Chilliwack River means there is less food available for the juvenile fish in the river.  The project was targeted at increasing the growth and survival of juvenile fish, particularly chinook and steelhead, but will benefit all species that feed on aquatic insects, including other fish, amphibians, and birds.
