Photo: Heather Edwards Eco-sculpture is a modern form of horticulture also known as “topiary.” The City of Burnaby Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services is pioneering eco-sculpture in this corner of North America. In 2006, the City of Burnaby presented Sage, modelled after a carousel horse at the Burnaby Village Museum. Now the menagerie has grown to include Cohoe Joe, Gilbert and Tilicum - a trio of salmon released into the wild at Fraser Foreshores Park along Marine Drive in South Burnaby and a pair of cranes that nest on Burnaby Mountain.
